There are 259 family farms growing rice, mostly in Northwest Mississippi. In 2018 they brought in $177 million value of production. That’s $21 million above the previous year.
Rice is nutritious, economical, blends well with any food pairings and is easy to make. Best of all, rice is cholesterol-free, sodium-free and has no trans or saturated fat. Rice is also gluten-free and is the least allergenic of all grains.
